Ampelmann makes offshore access as easy as crossing the street. Our drive is to make the offshore industry safer, enable the energy transition and have a great career in the meantime. We combine the challenges of a large globally-operating organisation with a change-positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.
Ampelmann designs and delivers innovative, safe, active motion compensated access solutions to the offshore energy industries worldwide.
Most systems are currently operated by 2 operators: The first operator controls the machine and the second operator monitors the vital functions of the machine from a different location on the ship deck. A large amount of information is available such as sensor readings, alarms, (live) video recordings and settings/adjustments. Communication with the machine is performed through an HMI (Human Machine Interface), of which the current design is not intuitive enough and inefficient to use.
Currently we are transforming our systems such that they can be controlled by a single operator, which makes efficient and intuitive interfacing even more important. Therefore, we would like you to design a new interface concept for our systems that complies with the following criteria:
- The interface is designed from an end-user’s perspective
- The interface structure is future-proof and handles information in a flexible way
- The design makes operations intuitive and finding information efficient
- M.Sc. student with a background in UX
- Excellent communication skills in English (required), Dutch (preferred)
- Availability as soon as possible
- A nice compensation
- A great and informal workplace in Delft
- Fantastic lunch, amazing coffee and fun break facilities (e.g. ping pong, darts)
