Join Science [&] Technology on our journey to scientific and technological innovation as an Optical Designer in the North of the Netherlands. You will be part of an interdisciplinary and international organization in the space domain, working side by side with highly knowledgeable specialists of the field.
As an Optical Designer, you will participate in Procurement, Inspection, Testing, Integration, and Alignment of optical systems, as well as take on following responsibilities:
- Optical design;
- Optical architecture;
- Optical interfaces;
- Performance analysis;
- Error budgets and tolerance budgets management;
- Stray light analysis;
- Risk assessment.
Ideally, you are someone who has an academic degree, as well as extensive experience in design and analysis using Zemax or Code V. Additionally, you have experience with designing spectrographs, as well as previous involvement with infrared systems, polarization analysis systems, and affinity with astronomy.
